The Bilan Carbone® method, developed by the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME), is a methodological tool that allows estimating GHG emissions generated by the production of goods or services based on a transparent and open calculation principle. The method is based on ISO14064-1 and the general principles of the GHG Protocol.

The official use of this tool is subject to obtaining an annual License managed by the Association Bilan Carbone (ABC) in France.
