Queretaro International Airport (AIQ) reached level 1 of the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) and ISO14064-1, in relation to the mapping of its controlled GHG emissions.

With this achievement, the AIQ becomes the first airport in Mexico managed by a state government with federal participation to be part of this Program.

The accreditation obtained highlights the airport’s commitment to implement its sustainability policy, which joins the decarbonization efforts carried out both in the aviation sector and in the State of Queretaro in response to the effects of climate change.

Currently there are 10 Mexican airports that have obtained an ACA certificate.
