Ron Barcelo has integrated a sustainability code called RB360 as part of its management system. The code allows the company to monitor and manage its activity under a sustainable approach based on 4 indicators: Air (carbon), Water, Field and Territory.
The code gives continuity to the company’s initiative to quantify, reduce and offset its carbon emissions annually since 2016. This procedure, already certified, has made Ron Barceló the world’s first Carbon Neutral Rum.
RB360 is the commitment that Ron Barceló has with the Dominican Republic and the rest of the world to develop a careful business activity of the environment and its resources, the social development and its biodiversity.
The code, certified by SGS in April 2020, is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations as part of the 2030 Agenda.
